“Who Moved My Cheese” is a marvelous book about change and the difficulties we all face when change presents itself. Retirement plan administration has literally built its foundation on change. Sort of like working in the “Fun House” with all its moving floors and distorted mirrors. To assist with getting through the “Fun House”, allow us to share current events to include:

  •  Washington Update from IRS and DOL perspective;
  • Expanded compliance expectations for plan audits – The American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) is backed by the DOL and how that impacts Qualified and 403(b) Plans;
  • ERISA vs. Non-ERISA including Church and Government Plans;
  • Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) – differences between Qualified and 403(b) plans. An attendee will gain a current view of what’s happening with the IRS and DOL as they also adjust to changes in our Tax Code;
  • Increase awareness of the expanded oversight during the annual audit;
  • Gain an understanding of how to leverage the benefits of an ERISA and Non-ERISA plan by design;
  • Improve RMD accuracy knowing similarities and differences for qualified and 403(b) plans.

Change is inevitable, yet sharing experiences and transferring knowledge is how we get through the “Fun House” of retirement plan administration.
